Seminar on strengthening the role of HEIs in ECEC CPD was held from October 18 to 20, 2021 at the Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor.
At the seminar, the development of new educational programs was presented in detail, and the representative of the Center for Pedagogical Education briefly presented the center’s basic activities, presented the planning, development and approval of new study programs, as well as the preparation and implementation of the career development program (PPU program). All those present were familiar with all the necessary documentation (application forms, online information, certificates for participants, certificates for performers…), and they also actively demonstrated the operation of the KATIS system.
On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, all seminar participants took part in lectures and workshops prepared by the expert workers of the Šentilj kindergarten, Ksenija Breg and Petra Kašman Jelenko. In the first part, the emphasis was on the organization, realization and evaluation of seminars and other trainings for professional workers, with a special emphasis on the closing time of kindergartens due to epidemiological conditions. In the second part, the emphasis was on cooperation with parents and children during the closing of the kindergarten. During the day and all the activities, a special accent and interviews were related to improving the competencies of educators and other experts in order to deal more effectively and adequately with crisis situations in the field of cooperation and continuous professional development.
