Seminars in Slovenia

The seminar on strengthening the role of HEIs in ECEC CPD – MARIBOR” was held from April 8 to 12, 2019 in the premises of two project partners (April 8-10, 2019 at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Education and April 11, 2019 – 12. 2019 at the Rakičan Research and Education Center in Murska Sobota).

The seminar presented the role of higher education teachers in strengthening continuous professional development, the role of professional development in terms of own research work and cooperation with external stakeholders, the role of professional development through the principle of mentoring, partnership cooperation, the importance of promoting faculties, departments and teachers, as well as the role of publishing scientific journals. Approaches to professional development in terms of scientific research work and pedagogical work with students are presented.

In addition to the above-mentioned activities, in the second part of the seminar, the head of the Center for Continuing Education presented in detail the activities of the Center, all active programs offered by the Center, as well as the methodology of funding by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports.
As part of the seminar, visits to preschool institutions and working meetings of project partners were also organized.

Introductory conference in Podgorica

The introductory conference within the ERASMUS+ project Keep Educating Yourself (KEY) was held on March 28 and 29, 2019 in Podgorica (Montenegro), in the Suncokrili kindergarten, organized by the Faculty of Philosophy from Podgorica, Study Program for Preschool Education. In addition to partner organizations, the conference was attended by a large number of representatives of institutions and organizations from Montenegro, a total of 80 participants.

Models of professional development of educators in EU countries were presented at the conference. Partners from Great Britain, Slovenia, Hungary and Romania presented their experiences with the aim of preparing adequate programs for the lifelong training of educators during the implementation of the project in Serbia and Montenegro. The next meeting of partners will be held in Maribor (Slovenia) from 8-10. April 2019.

(Српски) Radni sastanak u Pirotu

In Pirot, in the period from March 13 to 15, 2019, within the framework of the project “Keep Educating Yourself” – KEY, funded by the Erasmus+ program, a working meeting was held, which was attended by representatives of colleges from Novi Sad, Kruševac, Sremska Mitrovica, Pirot and Vršac , University of Montenegro and University of Maribor (Slovenia). The professors of our school, Dr. Tanja Nedimović and Dr. Nataša Sturza Milić, actively participated in the work of the meeting, during which Professor Nataša Sturza Milić, Dr., presented the results of a qualitative analysis of the program of continuous professional development of educators accredited by ZUOV. Dr. Tanja Nedimović and assistants Marija Malović, MA and Radmila Palinkašević, MA participated in the preparation of the presentation, research, analysis and translation into English.

The “Mihailo Palov” College of Vocational Studies for Educators is a partner in the implementation of the project called “Keep Educating Yourself” – KEY, which is financed by the funds of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The consortium consists of 17 partners from Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia and Great Britain. The project is aimed at building capacities for lifelong training of educators, in accordance with their needs.
The introductory conference, as part of the KEY project, was held on February 12, 2019 at the College of Vocational Studies for Teacher Education in Novi Sad. The present participants from all the mentioned countries and institutions participating in the project were greeted by Katarina Kovačević, MA, undersecretary in the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research. In the plenary part of the conference, Ana Marija Viček, State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, and Jovanka Ulić, director of the University of Novi Sad, addressed the audience.
The conference brought together more than 80 actors and practitioners in the system of preschool education and upbringing with the aim of presenting and familiarizing themselves with the KEY project and considering the need for professional training in this area.
