Nikšić: Education of educators on the topic of applying mathematical manipulative materials

The meeting was held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić. It was the opportunity for 11 partner institutions participating at this meeting to summarize the results achieved so far. All partner institutions presented the activities from WP2 implemented at their institutions. The common conclusion was that equipment was procured at all partner institutions and it is to be put into service for its intended purpose – the education and training of students and preschool teachers with the aim to improve their work in practice. This was followed by an activity from the third work package (WP3) in relation to the Moodle course implementation. Then, the second part of the workshop was dedicated to the topic of Planning seminars, courses and materials.

KEY-Niksic-03 At the end of the working day, a meeting of the Steering Committee was held, whose representatives stated that despite the fact of the present danger of Covid 19, all project tasks are successfully realized.
It was also underlined that the National Erasmus+ Office in Montenegro conducted a monitoring visit of the Erasmus+ project Keep Educating Yourself 29 June 2021. Representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office expressed their satisfaction with the achieved results and praised the efforts of the project teams from all partner institutions.

During the second working day, the project partners talked about possibilities to the competencies of preschool teachers (WP3). Within the WP4, a representative of WEBIN, Jelena Nastić, presented a publication related to increasing preschool teachers’ competencies.

The third working day began with a Quality Assurance Committee meeting. The external participants’ opinions on the quality of the project were analysed. It was agreed that it is high time to begin with delivering the accredited training programmes for preschool teachers.

The three-day meeting was concluded with an extensive exchange of experiences and ideas for the next activities on the project.

The meeting was held on June 23 and 24, 2021. in Novi Sad. At the meeting, the project partners from Maribor conducted training for the Moodle environment. Participants from all partner institutions followed a workshop on educational planning in the Moodle environment while working on the computer, learning in detail how to design a classroom in the Moodle environment, how to prepare and edit documents, how to communicate with participants, etc. The workshop continued with concrete tests of the participants, where, along with updating and some new information, the participants tried to design their classroom and introduce certain materials into it, so that on their own Then followed workshops on the topic of planning seminars, quick courses and materials, after which participants devoted to a meeting where they discussed the accreditation of seminars (professional training programs) for educators.

After that, each partner presented to those present a previous analysis of progress in their institution with the aim of improving management and making appropriate decisions within the project.

In the premises of the College of Vocational Studies for Educators and Business Informatics – SIRMIUM, within the implementation of the KEEP EDUCATING YOURSELF – (KEY) project in Sremska Mitrovica on April 19, 2021. a meeting of project partners was held.
The meeting discussed the topics of planned trainings by colleagues in Maribor (UoM), as well as the schedule of trainings and the number of participants from each institution, as well as the possibilities of applying the Moodle platform in the process of preparing and implementing the professional development program for educators within the established Lifelong Learning Centers.
ToT trainings on the subject of Quality Assurance are planned, the bearer of which would be the University of Birmingham, and a proposal by WEBIN to involve partners from the EU in the quality assurance process was accepted. Representatives of the higher education institution from Vršac presented an overview of the work team’s activities so far in the development and publication of the publication Teacher Self-Guide to CPD toolkit, where the central part of the publication would be the experiences of partners from the EU, while other institutions were invited to suggest topics they would like to cover before the material is consolidated into a final publication.

On Thursday, October 29, 2020, a working meeting and workshop of project partners of the KEJ project was held in the premises of the Institute for the Improvement of Education. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Higher Vocational Schools for Teacher Education of Serbia, the Association of Teachers of Serbia, the University of Montenegro, the Institute of Education of Montenegro, representatives of ZUOV and WEBIN.
The meeting discussed the New Standards and preparations for accreditation. The emphasis in the presentation was on the procedures for approving programs and other forms of professional training for teachers, educators and professional associates. In accordance with the challenges currently faced by the partners in the project, which are related to the accreditation of training programs, it was concluded that we should think about alternatives for the accreditation of new programs.

In the workshop part, the participants of the meeting discussed possible proposals for improving the existing Rulebook on continuous professional development and advancement in the professions of teachers, educators and professional associates.

Within the ERASMUS + program, equipment worth € 45,000.00 was procured to equip a teacher training center

As part of the implementation of the KEY (KEEP EDUCATING YOURSELF) project, ERASMUS + program, the Faculty of Philosophy purchased equipment worth about € 45,000.00, which will be installed in the Teacher Training Center. The equipment was procured in three batches: computer equipment, multimedia and audio-visual equipment and equipment for educational purposes. The Training Center for Teachers / Educators was established in June 2019 with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the Faculty of Philosophy and the Institute of Education in the implementation of training programs for teachers / educators accredited by the Ministry of Education – Institute for Education.

At the proposal of the project managers, it was agreed to request an extension of the deadline for the implementation of the project by twelve months, due to the impossibility of maintaining project activities/realizing visits to partner institutions abroad during the coronavirus pandemic.
At the meeting, a lecture was held on the use of the moodle platform, and software for recording and processing video materials and tools for holding video conferences were presented. A meeting was also held with the project quality assurance committee, whose goal was to evaluate the progress in realizing the project’s goals.
